August is National Immunization Awareness Month!

To slow the spread of COVID-19, families throughout the Jemez community did their part by staying home. As an unfortunate result, many Jemez youth missed their routine check-ups and recommended childhood vaccinations. This August, Jemez Public Health and the Jemez Comprehensive Health Center have teamed up to ensure your child(ren) are up-to-date with their immunizations.

The Jemez Comprehensive Health Center will be offering well-child visits with a Primary Care Provider throughout August. Kids ages 5-18 can complete their school/sports physical and get caught up on immunizations. Well-child visits will be held from 1:00pm - 4:30pm today, August 4th, 10:30am - 4:00pm on Thursday, August 11th, and 8:00am - 2:00pm on Saturday, August 20th.

Well-child visits and recommended immunizations are essential to help ensure our Jemez children stay healthy and protected. Making sure your child sees their Primary Care Provider for well-child visits and recommended vaccines is one of the best things you can do to protect your child and community from serious diseases that quickly spread.
